Dr Slot Casino Review

Dr Slot came from In Touch Games, the Halesowen firm that also ran mFortune, PocketWin and Mr Spin. It turned up fairly late in that line-up with a doctor gimmick running through the lot, from the promo names to the way you moved around the app. The pull was the games themselves. Nearly all of them were built in-house, so you couldn’t get them anywhere else.

What you couldn’t get was variety. The catalogue was slots and little besides. There were no live dealers and no roulette table to sit at. Bingo wasn’t part of it either, which is odd for a brand whose own sister site, mFortune, ran so much of it. New players got a small no-deposit bonus to poke around before putting any money in, and that suited the people Dr Slot was really chasing: casual phone players happy with low stakes. Where it let them down was cashing out. Slow withdrawals dogged the whole In Touch network for years, and Dr Slot got tarred with the same brush.

It worked well enough if your wants were modest. Chase a big library or a mainstream hit like Book of Dead, though, and you were always going to drift off somewhere bigger.

Why Dr Slot Closed

None of that is on the table now, because Dr Slot is gone. The Gambling Commission suspended In Touch Games’ licence in September 2023, and the operator handed it back within days rather than fight, after repeated money-laundering and player-safety failings that had already run up more than £11m in settlements. Everything on that licence switched off together. A different company later bought bits of the old In Touch portfolio and brought a few brands back, but Dr Slot wasn’t one of them. It hasn’t traded since.

Searching for Dr Slot Today?

Here’s the part that actually matters. There are sites out there right now using the Dr Slot name and taking UK sign-ups. They aren’t the real thing, and they’re not on the licence the original once held. Look any casino up on the Gambling Commission’s register before you hand over a card number, and if it isn’t there, walk away.

Dr Slot Casino FAQ

Is Dr Slot still open?

No. It closed to UK players in September 2023 and never reopened.

What happened to Dr Slot?

In Touch Games handed back its UK licence in 2023, once the regulator started asking hard questions. A different company later bought some of the old sister brands and put them back online. Dr Slot wasn’t part of that, and it’s been gone ever since.

Are mFortune and PocketWin the same as Dr Slot?

Same family. All three were In Touch Games sites, and all three went down together in 2023. The difference is that mFortune and PocketWin got a second life under a new owner for a spell, though both have since gone dark in the UK again. Dr Slot never got that chance.
